Olympics
Tae kwon do was a young sport in the 70's and 80's
it was introduced as demonstration sport in 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.
Tae kwon do returned in 1992 Olympic games and unfortunately is wasn't in the Olympic program in
1996 games, but as of the year 2000 Tae Kwon Do became first contested as a medal sport at the Olympics.

Lopez Family
The Lopez family is not just people who compete for just
medal but also competes for their family. This family shows the passion of Tae
Kwon Do that you could have or even have but not know it. The Lopez family consist
of 4 of the world’s top martial artists today and I’m pretty sure until they
stop competing or training there family legacy fire will still be burning strong.
You have the coach and eldest brother Jean Lopez and then come the 3 trainees
and Olympic medalists Steven Lopez, Diana Lopez and the youngest Mark Lopez. As
you can see this sport is not only for one person for protection it is also a
way for a family to bond.
Here a video of the Lopez Family. I hope you can see what
great character and strength as a family they have all together.
